Our History

Since its founding in 1990, Carolina Arts & Science College in Columbia has been an innovator in higher education, promoting a global vision.

1990The Carolina College of Arts and Science in South Carolina was founded by the college by John Gilstone, a prominent resident of Columbia, entrepreneur and scientist.  

2005Focused on arts & science professions in its early years, we added business programs in 2005. Soon after, in 2007, the College we added 10 more graduate programs.

2022Today, the Carolina College of Arts & Science has graduate and undergraduate programs across three our schools. Each year, we teach 20,000+ students from different countries.
